Standards
This product is manufactured in strict accordance with the following national standards and technical specifications to ensure that product quality meets industry requirements:
National Standard:
GB/T 12706 Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages from 1kV (Um=1.2kV) up to 35kV (Um=40.5kV) – Part 1Other Standards:
According to user requirements, the product can also be manufactured in accordance with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, British Standards (BS), German Standards (DIN), or American Standards (ASTM).
Application Scope
This product is suitable for fixed installation in power distribution networks or industrial installations with AC rated voltage up to 0.6/1kV. Typical application environments include:
• Indoor installation: Distribution lines inside buildings such as residential houses, office buildings, and shopping centers.
• Tunnels and cable trenches: Suitable for municipal tunnels and underground cable channels.
• Direct burial: Armored types allow direct burial installation and are suitable for outdoor cable routes.
Note:
Single-core cables shall not be installed in magnetic conduits. Single-core armored cables are used for DC systems only. If used in AC systems, non-magnetic armoring materials or magnetic isolation measures must be applied.
Operating Characteristics
• Rated Voltage:
The power frequency rated voltage U0/U is 0.6/1kV.
• Operating Temperature:
The maximum permissible long-term operating temperature of the cable conductor is 70°C.
• Short-Circuit Temperature:
During a short circuit (maximum duration not exceeding 5 seconds), the conductor temperature shall not exceed 160°C.
• Installation Temperature:
The ambient temperature during cable installation shall not be lower than 0°C.
• Minimum Bending Radius:
The cable bending radius shall not be less than 15 times the cable outer diameter.
• Flame-Retardant Performance:
PVC material itself has flame-retardant properties. According to application requirements, flame-retardant, fire-resistant, or low-smoke halogen-free cable types can be provided.
Cable Structure
The product structure adopts a layered protective design to support stable and safe operation during long-term service:
1. Conductor: High-purity copper or aluminum conductor compliant with GB/T 3956, providing reliable electrical conductivity.
2. Insulation: PVC insulation layer with stable insulation resistance and voltage withstand performance.
3. Filling: Non-hygroscopic filling materials used to maintain cable roundness.
4. Binding Tape: Non-woven tape wrapping used to secure the cable cores.
5. Inner Sheath (Optional): Used to isolate the armored layer from insulated cores.
6. Armoring Layer (Optional): Steel tape armoring for compression resistance or steel wire armoring for tensile strength.
7. Outer Sheath: PVC or PE sheath, providing resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and environmental exposure.
Main Technical Parameters
• Conductor DC Resistance:
Complies with GB/T 3956, supporting low-loss electrical transmission.
• AC Withstand Voltage Test:
0.6/1kV cable: Test voltage 3.5kV / 5min without breakdown.
1.8/3kV cable: Test voltage 6.5kV / 5min without breakdown.
• Insulation Resistance:
Insulation resistance values at normal temperature comply with standard requirements.
• Inductance and Capacitance:
Reference values are available to assist electrical system calculation and design.
Cable Current Carrying Capacity and Installation Conditions
The current carrying capacity of cables is influenced by installation environment (air or soil), ambient temperature, soil thermal resistivity, and installation method. This product provides detailed current carrying capacity tables and correction factors.
• Installation in air:
Ambient temperature 40°C, maximum long-term conductor temperature 70°C.
• Installation in soil:
Soil temperature 25°C, soil thermal resistivity 1.2K·m/W, direct burial depth 0.7m.
• Correction factors:
Correction factors are provided for different ambient temperatures, soil temperatures, and multiple parallel cable installations, supporting safe cable operation under actual working conditions.
